Policies and Procedures
I aim to create a practice that is full of clients who prioritize their self-care and understand that our therapeutic relationship is built on mutual trust and respect
Cancellation Policy:
Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapist’s day that could have been filled by another client. As such, 24 hours notice is required for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Clients who provide less than 24 hours notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged the full amount of the treatment to the credit card on file. Chronic cancelling will result in termination of the therapeutic relationship.
Sick Policy:
* For the safety of all of us, it is important you cancel your appointment if you have any of the following symptoms or have been in the following situations within 5 days of your appointment:
- fever over 100 F and/or chills
- respiratory issues (shortness of breath, coughing, pain in the chest, pressure in the chest, etc.)
- congestion or runny nose
- sore throat, cough (dry or productive), sneezing
- unexplained muscle or body aches
- gastrointestinal issues (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, etc.)
- fatigue beyond normal
- new loss and/or distorted sense of smell or taste
- any novel or unexplained symptoms
- been diagnosed or exposed to someone who has COVID-19 in the past 5 days
Inclement Weather Policy:
In the case of severe weather and when either a client or I feel unsafe to drive to their appointment, we will reschedule.
Appointment Arrival:
All clients are to arrive 10 minutes early (and not any earlier) for every appointment and text me upon arrival. I will text you back when I am ready for you and will meet you at the front door. Arriving 10 minutes early allows time for us to check-in, discuss your treatment, and for you to receive your full time on the table.
Late Arrival:
In the event that a client arrives late to their appointment, we will use what time is left and the treatment time can not be extended. The client is still financially responsible for the time they have booked.
Cleanliness:
It is of utmost importance to maintain a clean environment.
- Clients are to arrive clean; please bathe at least 24 hours prior to your appointment
- Clients will be asked to remove shoes upon arrival
- I am scheduling an hour in between clients to allow for a thorough cleaning/disinfection before and after sessions
- I am continuously running hepa air purifiers in each room. These top of the line air purifiers clean the air 10 times in an hour, down to 0.1 microns
Privacy Policy:
Clients are required to fill out a confidential online health history and consent to treat form. This form must be updated when there are any significant changes to you health history. (For example - new medications, a surgery, a diagnosis, or major illness) The information in your file can only be released by your consent or by law.
Refusal of Service:
I reserve the right to refuse service or discontinue treatment at any time.
